JOCKlife.com's Top 5 Fantasy League tight ends, kickers, and defensesSubmitted by admin on June 30, 2009 - 3:21pm |
Tight Ends
1. Tony Gonzalez - Even with Kansas City, Gonzalez produced and now that he’s out, Gonzalez will rise to the already lofty expectations.
2. Jason Witten - No more T.O. means more TD’s for Witten.
3. Antonio Gates - As always, Gates will have another solid fantasy year.
4. Dallas Clark - Peyton Manning should rebound and without Marvin Harrison, Clark should receive a lot more looks in the redzone.
5. Greg Olsen - With Jay Cutler, a tight end is always a receiving option, so look for Olsen to grab many touchdowns.
Kickers
1. Stephen Gostkowski - With Tom Brady back, Gostkowski will have more opportunities to shine.
2. David Akers - Even in chilly Philly, this guy scored and he’ll do it again this year.
3. Mason Crosby - He’ll score more as he matures this year.
4. Ryan Long well - The Vikings kicker will get plenty of chances when the QB, whoever it is, doesn’t score.
5. Jason Elam - The aging star still has a lot of gas left.
Defenses
1. Steelers - The Steelers led the league in yards allowed and they will look to repeat this year.
2. Ravens - They racked up the interceptions and will produce many points for fantasy owners.
3. Eagles - Third in the league for sacks isn’t bad at all and the blitz will force turnovers.
4. Titans - Even without Haynesworth, the Titans’ defense will show up for work, they finished second last season in points allowed.
5. Giants - The Giants lost Steve Spagnuolo, but still have that veteran defense.
