It appears that the Denver Broncos are willing to part ways with wide receiver Brandon Marshall after tendering him with a first-round tender instead of a first and third-round tender on Wednesday.
On the other hand, Elvis Dumervil won’t be going anywhere as the Broncos tendered the linebacker with a first and third-round tender. The additional third-round tender means that Dumervil -- who had 17 sacks last season -- carries a $3.168 million price tag.

Contributor NFL players have gone after the aid of congress to prevent the NFL owners from inflicting a lockout after next season. The players are hoping lawmakers in Washington D.C. can help overturn a possible victory in the Supreme Court antitrust case which would affect free agency amongst other things like ticket prices.
“We want Congress to know that management is pushing us toward a lockout,” said Tennessee Titans center Kevin Mawae who is also the union president and part of the 30 current and former players who were on Capitol Hill to discuss the issue.

Atlanta Falcons and Roddy White have finally agreed to a six-year, $50 million deal, making White the second highest paid wide receiver in the NFL.
White, who is due to make just under $28 million in three seasons, is guaranteed $18 million of the $50 million deal he signed. White also plays second fiddle behind Arizona Cardinal receiver Larry Fitzgerald who is the highest paid receiver in the league and well deserved.

Editor ESPN.com is reporting that the Portland Trail Blazers have offered point guard Andre Miller a three-year, $21 million deal.
The Blazers made this move after they failed to obtain the services of New York Knicks’ forward and restricted free agent, David Lee.
Though Miller’s agent confirmed the deal, he refused to offer the details, which ESPN reports that the $21 million deal comes with $14 million guaranteed and his third-year option includes $7 million left.

According to ESPN.com, the Portland Trailblazers are offering Utah Jazz free agent Paul Millsap a four-year contract worth somewhere between $32 million and $36 million.
According to league sources, the deal would include a hefty signing bonus that will make it almost impossible for the Utah Jazz to match. The Jazz have the opportunity to match the offer because Millsap is a restricted free agent.
The Jazz will be presented with the offer Saturday and have seven days to match.
